Supply Chain Engineer
(full-time)
As a Supply Chain Engineer you are responsible for improving processes and activities that fall within the scope of the Supply Chain Operations (SCO) department. You work closely with the local team other departments and external parties to create a positive impact on safety cost and quality. This includes both short-term troubleshooting as well as preparing developing and executing improvement projects. SCO Geleen is responsible for all logistics activities at the front end (planning ordering unloading and storage of all raw materials and packaging materials) and at the back end of the production process (rework transport inbound storage and outbound of our finished products). As an SC Engineer your focus is on on-site activities rather than the surrounding logistics addition you replace the Supply Chain Operations Manager during their absence.
The position
- You are responsible for supervising all technical installations under the management of SCO such as forklifts cylinders and the box-making installation including the associated contracts where applicable.
- You support the SCO department in resolving operational issues and initiating and following up on corrective actions.
- You initiate develop and execute improvement projects within SCO or together with other departments including the entire MOC process.
- You contribute the operational logistics experience and interests of SCO to other projects.
- You are responsible for the contract management of the EPT allocation meters and act as the point of contact for suppliers and customers.
- You are responsible for carrying out the settlement of raw materials and the associated consumption reporting both internally and externally together with the Raw Material Analyst.
- As part of continuous improvement you carry out various activities such as internal and external audits develop internal training plans improve internal procedures and work instructions and organize emergency drills for SCO.
- You ensure that SCO activities comply with applicable (site) regulations.
- You replace the Supply Chain Operations Manager during their absence and act as the point of contact for external stakeholders. Upon request you also provide support when the Manager is present.
Your profile
- Bachelors level of working and thinking (HBO) with a technical logistics or chemical background. Specific EPT plant knowledge including work processes is an advantage.
- You have at least 5 to 10 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Problem-solving mindset and able to make independent decisions.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify improvements and implement changes.
- Experience with leadership and/or project management is an advantage.
- Proficient in Dutch and English both spoken and written.
