Synechron is seeking a detail-oriented and skilled QA Playwright Engineer to join our technology team. This role focuses on ensuring software quality through automated testing frameworks specifically using Playwright with a strong foundation in Java development and Agile methodologies. The QA Playwright Engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality and reliable software products that align with business objectives and enhance user experience.
Software Requirements
Required:
Strong knowledge of Java and the Java EE platform.
Experience with web development frameworks such as Spring Hibernate or JSF.
Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
Experience with version control systems such as Git.
Understanding of RESTful web services.
Preferred:
Experience with Playwright or other modern web automation testing frameworks.
Exposure to continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Overall Responsibilities
Design develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using Playwright and Java.
Collaborate with development teams to understand software functionality and define test coverage.
Write clean maintainable and scalable test code that integrates with the overall development pipeline.
Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices.
Debug and resolve issues found during testing and report defects clearly and effectively.
Stay current with testing tools frameworks and best practices to continually improve testing processes.
Work within Agile teams participating in planning daily stand-ups and retrospectives to ensure quality is built into the software development lifecycle.

Preferred: Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and CI/CD tools that support automated testing.

Alternative qualifications: Demonstrable skills through automation projects or contributions to open-source testing frameworks.
Day-to-Day Activities
Develop execute and maintain automated Playwright test scripts.
Collaborate with developers QA analysts and product owners to understand requirements and test scenarios.
Participate in daily stand-ups sprint planning and retrospectives following Agile methodologies.
Analyze test results identify defects and communicate findings effectively.
Review peer test code and provide constructive feedback.
Continuously improve testing frameworks and processes by adopting modern tools and practices.
Keep up-to-date with technology trends focusing on test automation and Java development.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field or equivalent professional experience.
At least 3 years of professional experience in Java development and automated testing is preferred.
Relevant certifications in test automation or Java development are a plus.
