Job Summary
Job Title: X-Ray Technician / Radiologic Technologist
Location: Brooklyn NY 11234
Shift Type: Flex Shift
Schedule: Variable shifts 7.5 hours/day (37.5 hours/week)
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (mid shift)
Duration: Contract / 13 Weeks
Position Summary
A healthcare facility is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray Technician) to perform diagnostic imaging procedures. The ideal candidate will ensure patient safety produce high-quality images and maintain compliance with clinical and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and position patients for radiologic procedures
- Operate imaging equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images
- Adjust equipment settings as needed for optimal imaging results
- Follow radiation safety and infection control protocols
- Document patient procedures and maintain accurate records
- Maintain radiology equipment and monitor supply inventory
- Participate in ongoing education and competency requirements
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 02 years of experience preferred (recent experience a plus)
- Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License (LRT) required
- ARRT certification required
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to maintain high standards of safety and quality
- Proficiency in English (reading writing speaking)
