Job Summary

At the NSW Department of Education we educate and inspire lifelong learners from early childhood through schooling to vocational education and training.

  • Salary ranges from $129464 to $142665 p.a. plus employers contribution including superannuation and annual leave loading.

About the role

As the Lead Service Governance and Enablement you are a key member of the Enablement and Optimisation team supporting senior leaders to make informed decisions about services that meets the need of schools and education support staff.

Your responsibilities include:

  • coordinating and strengthening governance by analysing performance data and ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
  • providing expert advice on governance frameworks and secretariat support for governance forums to enable effective decision-making and collaboration
  • building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships to strengthen governance capability and support service improvement

About you

To be successful in this role you will bring a strong analytical and customer-centred approach ensuring services and governance frameworks are aligned to the needs of schools and education support staff. You will demonstrate:

  • Impeccable analytical skills to interpret complex large data sets and translate it into clear recommendations
  • Excellent reporting skills with the ability to extract consolidate and present data in a concise clear and engaging way to a range of stakeholders
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills to influence and manage competing priorities and demands
  • A commitment and proactive approach in identifying opportunities for continuous improvements in strengthening governance process
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and complex environment
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Departments Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Departments Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Essential requirements of the role

  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management Business Studies Service and Customer Experience and/or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.

Renewal is not required after the WWCC expires as long as you remain in a nonchild-related role. Employer obligations only apply while the WWCC is valid.
