About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Payroll Lead to oversee and manage the endtoend payroll function for a large complex workforce. This is a handson leadership role suited to a payroll professional who thrives in fastpaced environments values accuracy and compliance and enjoys leading and developing a small specialist to the Group Finance Manager the Payroll Lead is responsible for supervising controlling and processing payroll for 1000 employees ensuring payroll is delivered accurately on time and in compliance with relevant Awards and legislation. The role also plays a key part in strengthening payroll processes managing risk and delivering highquality service to internal role is a permanent full-time opportunity working hybrid based in our Parramatta Payroll Lead you will:Coordinate and supervise the entire payroll function including entitlements leave reconciliations general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations and yearend processingEnsure legislative award tax and superannuation compliance including quality control auditsLead coach and develop a team of payroll professionals supporting capability uplift and performanceMaintain and review payroll policies and procedures ensuring they remain effective and up to dateProvide expert award interpretation advice working closely with People & Culture and external agenciesIdentify payroll risks inefficiencies and opportunities for continuous improvementPartner with Finance People & Culture and internal stakeholders to deliver timely accurate and confidential payroll advice and reportingAbout youYou are a highly experienced payroll professional with:Extensive payroll experience ideally 10 years including senior or lead payroll rolesDemonstrated experience supervising payroll teams and managing complex payroll operationsStrong knowledge of awards payroll legislation tax and superannuation with experience interpreting complex awardsExposure to large ERP or HCM systems (Dayforce experience strongly preferred)Strong Microsoft Excel skills and excellent attention to detailThe ability to work under pressure meet tight deadlines and manage competing prioritiesClear communication skills and the confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levelsExperience within the notforprofit sector and with the SCHADS Award is highly UsSettlement Services International (SSI Group) is a community-based organisation and social business that supports newcomers and Australians to achieve their full potential.
