Assignment Details
- Shift: Night Shift (3x12s)
- Hours: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
- Duration: Approximately 13 weeks
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) for a night shift contract assignment. This role involves performing comprehensive sleep studies monitoring patients overnight and ensuring high-quality safe and compassionate care within a clinical sleep lab environment.
Key Responsibilities
Sleep Studies & Patient Care
- Conduct overnight polysomnographic (sleep) studies
- Review patient records physician orders and study protocols
- Interview patients regarding sleep patterns medications and lifestyle factors
- Monitor document and evaluate patient responses throughout testing
Clinical Procedures
- Perform complex diagnostic sleep procedures across diverse patient populations
- Identify and respond to sleep disorders and abnormalities during studies
- Ensure accurate data collection analysis and reporting
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all safety sanitation and infection control protocols
- Maintain and troubleshoot sleep lab equipment
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and clinical standards
Team Collaboration
- Provide compassionate patient-centered care
- Support team members and assist in training less experienced staff when needed
- Contribute to maintaining high standards of service and departmental goals
Professional Development
- Maintain required certifications and competencies
- Participate in ongoing education and training programs
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
- Minimum 2 years of experience performing sleep studies
- Strong knowledge of sleep disorders and diagnostic procedures
- Excellent patient care and communication skills
