We havean exciting opportunityforSeniorProject Manager(Data Migrations)to join ourChange Team at Royal London initially focussed on a majordata migrationprogramme.The Change Teamwork across Royal London to help deliver the Groups strategic ambitions. We work in partnership to deliver operational excellence drive innovation enhance customer experience and protect our business from threatsimpactingour industry.Bringing together thousands of colleagues to look after millions of customers to deliver great outcomes for customers.As a Senior Project Manager you will have overall responsibility for planning and leading the delivery of the whole change lifecycle for projects coveringboth Business and Technical driven change.
About the role
We are delivering a major multiyearprogrammethat will transform our propositionand transitioncriticaloperationsdataand programme will deliveran enhanced proposition throughmigration of policies to our Royal Londonstrategic platforms.The role involves the design execution and governance of theeventrunbookincluding validation through dry runs and dress rehearsals.Werelooking for candidates with proven experience in largescaledata migrations withincomplex change environmentscandidates who candesignplanand executetechnical and operationalchange to ensure a smooth wellgoverned andhighqualitytransition.
As aSeniorProjectManageryou will:
- Lead our most complex andcritical initiatives
- Apply best project management practice toensure outcomes are delivered to timecostand quality objectives
- Provide leadership to thedeliveryteam by building and motivating team members to meet project goals adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
- Define and agree required level of project resource needed for successful project delivery
- Manage risks and issues understanding a wider risk context associated with thebusiness and the delivery
- Build a collaborativerelationshipwith 3rd parties to managedeliverycosts and maximise value
- Implementappropriate levelof Governance in-line with Group methods
- Cost control on the project andunderstanding the impact this has on Group-wide financialperformance and value to the customer
- Coach and mentorother Project Managers in the team potential with people management responsibilities
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the ways of working within our change delivery environment
What you will bring to the role:
- Extensive demonstrable experience ofdelivering complexData Migrationprojects within financial services
- The ability to solve and unblock issues within teams ordepartments
- An adaptable approach to communicating across alllevels in Royal London
- The skills to build consensus betweenorganisations or highly independent and diversestakeholders
- Proactivity and future thinking around the managementand control ofproject costs and benefits
- Interpersonal skills to influence and spur changefacilitate and enhance performance within a cross - functional environment
- Experience of leading project teams building andmaintainingthe trust confidencecommitmentand collaboration of others
