The Technical Sales and Marketing Manager is responsible for driving the growth of Covestros Footwear segment within TPU business entity across APAC region with a focus on the Sports Shoe industry. This role combines strategic market development with hands-on direct sales execution leveraging strong commercial capabilities and industry expertise to enhance the segment growth and drive value shift across the value chain.
Main Responsibilities
Marketing and Segment Development
Develop and execute the Go-to-market strategyfor the APAC Footwear segment with emphasis on Sports Shoe applications.
Lead marketing initiativesincluding trade fairs roadshows technical seminars and social media campaigns to promote Covestros innovative TPU solutions and enhance market presence.
Identify and capitalize emerging technologies (such as SCF Injection Foaming TPU solutions replacing rubber/PA11/12) and solve customer problems through technical expertise.
Collect and analyze market intelligence to support strategic decision-making in close collaboration with sales teams responsible for the segment business.
Build strategic account planswith clear objectives and relationship mapping for key OEMs/ODMs maintaining strong industry networks to position Covestro as preferred solution partner.
Manage pipeline performance effectively through accurate forecasting regular progress tracking and collaboration with different functions to ensure alignment with segment objectives.
Direct Sales & Market Development
Execute direct sales activities to deliver the assigned business targetsincluding prospecting customer needs assessment cross-selling identification and value proposition delivery with strategic pricing approaches.
Collaborate with technical teams to resolve customer challenges support material trials secure successful commercialization of technical solutions and solve technical issues.
Provide regular reports regarding to market customer and competitor.
Qualification Requirements
Bachelors degree in chemistry or related scientific or engineering discipline.
More than 5 years of commercial hunting experience within the chemical industry with proven track record in driving business growth and achieving sales targets.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and negotiate with key stakeholders.
Knowledge of TPU materials and the footwear industry is an advantage.
Fluency in both spoken and written English.
Fluency in Mandarin is a plus.
