- Schedule:
- Monday Thursday: 7:00 AM 4:00 PM
- Friday: 7:00 AM 12:00 PM
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled and dependable Medical Assistant to support both front and back office operations in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role requires a balance of patient interaction clinical procedures and administrative responsibilities to ensure efficient daily operations and high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care & Clinical Support
- Greet and room patients in a timely and professional manner
- Take and document vital signs accurately
- Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture
- Administer vaccines and assist with clinical procedures
- Conduct EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing
Front Office Duties
- Schedule appointments and manage provider calendars
- Answer and route incoming phone calls
- Maintain accurate patient records in EMR systems
Back Office & Clinical Assistance
- Assist providers during examinations and treatments
- Prepare and stock exam rooms to ensure readiness
- Support efficient clinical workflows and patient throughput
Team Collaboration & Patient Experience
- Collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative staff
- Communicate clearly with patients and team members
- Contribute to a positive patient-centered environment
Health Education & Outreach
- Support patient education and wellness initiatives
- Promote preventive care practices
- Participate in community-focused healthcare efforts
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (excluding externship)
- 23 years of overall experience preferred
- Proven experience with phlebotomy/venipuncture
- Experience working with EMR systems
- Strong communication organizational and computer skills
- Ability to multitask with strong attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Medical Assistant Certification
- Experience in Occupational Health
