Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies is looking for a Field Technician for the Companys Field Services organization supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This role will be responsible for field support in ZJX airspace. Field technician will support FAA contracts FTI ADSB DCNS and any other FSG programs.

Essential Functions:

Good working knowledge of cable connectors and replacement such as RJ-11 RJ-45 DB-25 V.35 RS-449
Havean excellent working knowledge of fiber working knowledge of MultiplexesNetwork topology Frame Relay Fractional T-1 SONET Network TechnologyATM Private Line Voice and Data applications
Goodworking knowledge of power testing AC and DC including 3 Phase AC. Familiar with configuration and operation of the 24VDC & 48 VDC powersupplies.
Experience with network and circuit testing with T1 Testing Specifications DS3Testing Digital Testing (BERT) and Analog VG Testing within Bell CoreStandards.
Workingknowledge and usage of various network test equipment: JDSU HSTAmeritech AM5XT Sage 935 Digital Oscilloscope Halcyon 704A Para-scopeor other T1/DS3 Test sets.
IP Based knowledge with experience configuring routers and switches

Experience installing equipment racks (wallmount raised floors concrete etc.)
Travel to FAA site locations within a 3 hour drive from Hilliard FL area
Lift items up to 32 lbs. and use ladders and step stools to reach heights of approximately 10 ft.
Work with your supervisor (ASL) to ensure all L3Harris policies/procedures and program specific policies/procedures are followed.
Ability to obtain a FFA Security Clearance

Qualifications:

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

Network CCNA CCNP CCNA Wireless A
Abilityto work from home in an on-call status.
Capable of utilizing ladders and stepstools to reach heights of approx. 10 feet
Willingnessand/or ability to work outside regularly scheduled hours to meetoperational needs and to respond to after-hours emergency calls as required.
Excellentcustomer service skills.
Ability to work in high stress and visibility environment
