A new opportunity for an experienced HFCField Manager to join our team. As the technical expert within HFC network operatons you will lead a team of techniciansin optimisation and field delivery. This role is based in Brisbane - applications from QLD Sydney and Melbourne will be considered.

About the Role
Critical skillset in HFC is required to meet the requirements for this role where you will oversee end to end field performance across HFC fibre copper and civil works ensuring timely restoration of services fault rectification and quality delivery across a large geographic footprint (Brisbane North through to NSW border).
Lead and support internal teams and subcontractors ensuring compliance safety and high-quality technical performance particularly across HFC optimisation including RF testing amplifier / tap tuning performance validation and complex fault analysis.
Hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys problem solving planning and supporting field teams to deliver excellence. Duties include
- Champion safety and ensure compliance with Ventia NBN and legislative requirements
- Maintain safe calibrated HFC test equipment (e.g. 620/730 testers)
- Manage reactive and planned works across HFC fibre copper and civil scopes
- Lead teams completing RF testing sweep & balance leakage detection and optimisation
- Ensure all technicians hold and maintain correct NBN skillsets (14b 17a 18a)
- Support and audit subcontractors performance
- Work closely with NBN representatives internal managers engineers and SHEQ regarding risks progress and field insights
- Coach support and mentor field staff/subcontractors
Required Skills and Experience
It is essential that you are an SME in HFC networks (nodes taps amps coax RF behaviour)andhave experience in a similar field leadership / supervisory role.
- Experience interpreting RF test equipment and network performance data
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Evidence of ability to manage subcontractor performance auditing and quality compliance
- Solid computer skills
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
