Job Summary
REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelors degree. Current valid South Dakota Teaching Certificate.
Experience: One year of teaching experience; network hardware and software management experience preferred.
Physical Requirements: Constant hand-eye/mind-eye coordination. Frequent walking keyboarding speaking writing bending carrying pushing pulling sitting stooping turning and driving. Some lifting up to 50 lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
Other Requirements: Valid current Drivers license. Excellent written and verbal communication strategic planning problem solving organizational time management and conflict resolution skills. Ability to keep information confidential.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES
- Provides training for teaching staff in the areas of on-line curriculum development methodology and assessment.
- Gathers and provides resources to assist teachers in integrating technology into classroom.
- Assists with the infusion of technology into each curricular area.
- Assists staff with technology related questions and issues.
- Assists in installing new computer workstations and peripheral devices.
- Assists in the installation of software applications.
- Diagnoses and troubleshoots technology issues when necessary.
- Maintains awareness of new technology and potential use.
- Teaches technology curriculum.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
TERM: 180 Contract Days
REPORTS TO: Technology Director andPrincipal
