Responsibilities
The Health Information Management Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the Medical Records department at CSTCC ensuring the organization and maintenance of accurate and secure medical records for the skilled nursing facility. Responsibilities include reviewing resident electronic health record (EHR) documentation and provider visit documentation; monitoring of notes and reporting findings to the clinical and interdisciplinary team (IDT); EHR filing/scanning; and setting up and closing resident charts. Supports the Director in ensuring that the SNF is in compliance with established policies procedures federal state and local laws and regulations. Ensures effective communication staff development interdepartmental relations and personnel management.
Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
Successful completion of a college level course work or medical terminology course preferred
Experience
3 years medical record experience required
Microsoft Office (e.g. Outlook and Excel) and basic data entry skills required
Experience with PointClickCare or EHR systems (preferably in a Skilled Nursing facility/setting) preferred
