The Role:

Our award winning Intellectual Property team is seeking a motivated Trade Mark Attorney to join our growing team. This is a new role due to continuing expansion of our trade marks practice.

We manage global trade mark portfolios for market leading Irish and international clients covering a range of industries including food and beverage technology life sciences fashion consumer goods energy and real estate. They trust us to advise on trade mark strategy and manage their global trade mark portfolios.

The role will include:

• Preparing and filing trade marks with the EUIPO IPOI and WIPO.

• Advising on trade mark filings and prosecution including dealing with formalities issues.

• Managing our trade marks database.

• Attending to trade mark renewals assignment recordals changes of name and similar issues.

• Managing Irish EU and global trade mark portfolios.

• Liaising with overseas associates on trade mark issues.

• Conducting trade mark searches and managing trade mark watches.

• Preparing and filing trade mark oppositions cancellations and revocations.

• Assisting with trade mark due diligence.

This role will suit an ambitious self-starter who works well in a team. Strong analytical and organisational skills as well as attention to detail will be key attributes for this role. This is a great opportunity for someone to make the role their own working closely with our IP partners and lawyers.

Candidate Requirements:

• Ideally a qualified Irish Trade Mark Agent or European Trade Mark and Designs Attorney.

• 2 years experience in the area of trade marks.

• Experience with WebTMS (IPPO) or similar trade mark database.

• Experience in undertaking trade mark clearance searches.
