In deal valuation at PwCCanada you will focus on providing analysis and valuation services for mergers acquisitions and other financial transactions. You will help clients make informed decisions by assessing the worth and potential risks of various deals.

As aValuationsFinancialInstruments Co-opAssociateyoullwork as part of a team of problem solvers helping to solve business issues deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Advise clients on complex financial instruments valuation issues and develop valuation models for a variety ofpurposesincluding mergers and acquisitions (M&A) financial reporting taxation corporate decisionsupportand corporate governance.
Provide valuation advisory services for private equity and asset management clients with valuation issues surrounding their private debt portfolios venture capital portfolios management incentive plans contingent considerations as well asother contractual arrangements and options
Report and present analyses andconclusionsincluding written reports.
Research and develop quantitative tools toprovideanalytical insights into business transactions and asset valuations using market and company data.
Review client-provided materials including term sheets and independently construct robust valuation models tailored to the engagement context.
Manage multiple client engagements concurrently ensuringtimelydelivery of high-quality work productsin accordance withagreed-upon timelines.
Conduct in-depth market research on valuation methodologies industry trends and technical topics to support analysis and client deliverables.
Develop a strong understanding of relevant accounting standards as they relate to valuation issues and financial reporting requirements.
Embrace and apply new tools and technologies to enhance workflow efficiency analytical depth and client service delivery.
Support our broaderteamsengagementshelping management and boards arrive at informed decisions by providing credible valuation conclusions.
Establish credibility with existing clients bydemonstratingsubject matterexpertiseand knowledge.
Provide support to team members in technical skills industryknowledgeand soft skills.
Experiences and skillsyoulluse to solve:
A strong academic background in a quantitative or finance discipline (Mathematics Statistics Finance Financial Engineering or other relevantundergraduate orpostgraduate degrees)
Understandingfinancial derivatives and fixed income securities valuation modelling.
Strong analytical and project management skills an ability to analyze businesssituationsand a professional andpersonabledemeanourto interact with clients and work effectively in teams.
Enrollment in or a strong intention to pursue theChartered Financial Analyst designation will be an asset.
Proven ability to manage project workflows and deliver on time.

The salary range for this position is$59000 - $69000.
