36The Center for Breast Care is excited to offer a uniquely specialized Medical Assistant opportunity. Unlike a traditional MA role our Breast Center Medical Assistants are deeply integrated into three key areas of the department: the HighRisk Breast Clinic the Breast Surgery Clinic and Breast Imaging.This is an excellent opportunity for a Medical Assistant who is eager to expand their clinical skill set work closely with advanced practice providers and specialists and be part of a collaborative team dedicated to delivering exceptional breast health care.
Whats Available:
.9 FTE - 72 hours bi-weekly
Monday Friday Days hours between 7am-5pm
No weekend or holiday hours required
What you will do:
Provide LOVE MEDICINE to our patients by greeting them with a warm and welcoming smile and setting the tone for their appointments
Collaborate as an essential member of a multidisciplinary team including Surgeons Physician Assistants Radiologists Mammography Technologists Registered Nurses and fellow Medical Assistants
Assist Radiologists during breast biopsy procedures and other inoffice breast imaging interventions
Prepare patients and exam rooms for specialty procedures ensuring safety comfort and efficiency
Update patient information in charting systems
Provide hands on patientcentered support to individuals undergoing breast health evaluation diagnosis and treatment
Contribute to a collaborative teamdriven environment dedicated to exceptional breast health care
What you need:
Graduate of a Medical Assistant program Practical Nursing program or Vocational Nurse program or have completed education to be eligible for NCLEX-PN
OrHigh School Diploma or equivalency and attained a Medical Assistant Certification
BLS CPR for healthcare workers
