Position Summary
Lynchburg Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (LCDJR) is seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Technician to join our Fixed Operations team. This position is responsible for inspecting diagnosing repairing and maintaining a wide range of vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operation. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship while following manufacturer and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical vehicle issues using appropriate diagnostic tools and software
- Perform routine maintenance including oil changes tire rotations brake servicing and inspections
- Repair and service engines transmissions fuel systems suspension steering and HVAC systems
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical components such as wiring batteries alternators and sensors
- Follow manufacturer specifications service manuals and technical service bulletins
- Ensure all repairs comply with safety policies and environmental regulations
- Accurately document repairs and recommendations
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and team members
- Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Formal training or experience in Automotive Technology preferred
- State Inspection License required
- Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram experience is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Manual and automatic transmission service
- HVAC system repair
- Proficient use of scan tools OBD systems and multimeter
Certificates Licenses Registrations
- Valid Drivers License
- State Inspection License (preferred not required)
