SDR Care is recruiting a Team Leader to help launch a brand-new specialist support service for a young individual with autism ADHD learning disabilities and complex support needs.
This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced senior support worker or team leader who wants to make a genuine difference while helping shape a new service from the very beginning.
Youll lead by example support your team on shift and help create a calm structured and positive home environment.
What Youll Be Doing
- Leading and supporting a small care team
- Providing hands-on person-centred support
- Supporting routines activities and community access
- Mentoring and developing Support Workers
- Promoting Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
- Working closely with management to build a successful new service
- Ensuring high standards of safeguarding and care delivery
This role includes a mix of:
- 30 hours direct support
- 8 hours supernumerary/team leadership time
Participation in the on-call rota is required.
Were looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in complex care autism or learning disabilities
- Confident supporting behaviours of distress
- Calm reliable and emotionally resilient
- A positive leader who can support and motivate others
- Experienced as a Team Leader Senior Support Worker or similar role
- A driver with a full UK driving licence
Experience with PBS and safeguarding procedures is highly desirable.
