Role Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Patient Accounts Specialist to manage patient billing processes handle copay charges and provide professional support to patients. This is a customer-facing role requiring strong communication skills and a high level of accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and post patient copay charges accurately
- Review billing and encounter data to ensure accuracy
- Handle patient communication regarding billing and balances
- Provide support via phone and email
- Assist with payment processing and account queries
- Maintain accurate documentation of interactions
- Support the revenue cycle team with billing tasks
- Escalate complex issues where necessary
Requirements
- 3 years experience in medical billing or revenue cycle
- Experience with patient copay charging and billing
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to communicate confidently with U.S.-based patients
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Professional and empathetic communication style
Preferred
- Experience with EHR or medical billing systems
- Customer-facing healthcare support experience
