As part of the Outbound Campaigns team you will be working on breaking down a monolith and building Five9s next generation cutting-edge Modern microservices platform. An ideal candidate for us is an experienced engineering manager who has strong background in software development combined with proven leadership skills to mentor and grow high-performing engineering teams. This team is focused on building high performance scalable microservices with test driven development mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be part of the Outbound Campaigns Team focused on building the next generationoutboundcampaigns management features in thepublicmulti-cloud and hybrid-cloud solutions.
- Lead mentor and develop a team of engineers fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Oversee the design development and execution of engineering projects ensuring quality timelines and budget compliance.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineerson the team
- Conduct code reviews and ensure high code quality and standards adherence
- Identifytechnical debt and propose and implement solutions for improvement
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in software engineering
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams like Product QualityOpsand other development teams to drive technical initiativesforward
- Conduct performance evaluations set career development goals and support professional growth for team members.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field (Mastersdegree preferred)
- 12 years of experienceindesigning and developing distributed and scalable systemswith at least 3 years in a leadership or management role
- Experience inbreaking down monoliths into microserviceswith an emphasis on resiliency
- Proven experience managing and scaling engineering teams.
- Excellent problem-solving communication and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies DevOps practices and modern engineering workflows.
- Experience working with cloud platforms CI/CD pipelines and scalable architectures is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- You understand what it takes to run mission critical software in production
