Job Summary

Job Title: Donor Care Specialist (Phlebotomy)
Location: Hyannis MA
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 40 hours/week Rotating shifts (6:00 AM 7:00 PM) Occasional weekends & holidays

Position Summary

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Donor Care Specialist to support a blood donor program. This role is responsible for donor recruitment blood collection procedures regulatory compliance and delivering a high-quality experience to donors and patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to donors patients and healthcare staff
  • Perform donor screening to determine eligibility in accordance with regulatory guidelines
  • Conduct whole blood collection and therapeutic phlebotomy procedures
  • Support both on-site and off-site blood drives
  • Prepare label and handle blood components and specimens for testing
  • Accurately document donor records deferrals and data in electronic systems
  • Assist with donor recruitment initiatives and retention efforts
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies
  • Ensure a clean safe and organized work environment
  • Follow all safety protocols infection control standards and organizational policies
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

Donor Care Specialist I

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Prior phlebotomy experience required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • National certification or accredited phlebotomy training preferred

Donor Care Specialist II

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 1 year of donor phlebotomy experience preferred
  • Knowledge of blood groups Rh types and donation procedures
  • Current DPT (ASCP) or QDP (ASCP) certification required
