Senior Project Freight Forwarder

Project Logistics at Bring is looking for an experienced Project Freight Forwarder to join our team. As part of the Posten Bring Group founded in 1647 and today one of the leading logistics providers in the Nordic you will be joining a company with a strong legacy solid market position and clear growth ambitions within specialized logistics.

As a Project Freight Forwarder you will be responsible for planning coordinating and executing complex transports of heavy and specialized equipment within offshore industry and renewable energy. You will oversee the full project lifecycle from planning and execution to final delivery ensuring that transports are completed on time within scope and with a strong focus on quality safety and cost efficiency.

The position can be based in Bergen Stavanger or Greve. Some travel activity should be expected in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage transport and projects from basic concepts throughout the entire lifecycle until closeout
• Develop detailed project plans including scope schedule and budget
• Perform full engineering of transport solution together with team and prepare necessary documents incl. risk assessment method statement etc.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineering procurement and transport divisions as needed for the project.
• Monitor the project progress and performance identifying and mitigating risk.
• Ensure compliance with the industry standards safety regulations and client requirements.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and build strong relationships with suppliers clients and partners.
• Manage project documentation and reporting
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance project team environment.
• Assist Sales with preparing technical proposals and contract awards.

• Negotiate with vendors for best solution for the project

Experience and Competence:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering Project Management Freight Forwarding or related field. Relevant experience may compensate for formal education.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project logistics and heavy lift transportation.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from end to end.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
• Technical and commercial understanding as well as strong IT skills
• Fluency in English written and spoken and proficiency in a Scandinavian language.
