St. Michaels House is a community-based voluntary organisation which provides facilities and services to over 1900 adults and children with intellectual disabilities and their families in the greater Dublin area.
For over 70 years St. Michaels House has been a leading provider of high-quality person-centred services for adults with intellectual disabilities. We are now seeking a Basic Grade Clinical Psychologist to join our supportive and progressive multidisciplinary team. This role is ideally suited to a newly qualified or early-career psychologist who is interested in developing their clinical skills within disability services under the guidance and supervision of experienced clinicians.
About the Role
The successful candidate will provide psychology services across St. Michaels House Adult Services including assessment intervention consultation and contribution to service development. You will work closely with Psychologist Department and wider multidisciplinary team receiving regular supervision mentorship and support to develop your clinical practice. This post offers an excellent opportunity to consolidate core clinical skills while working within a well-established values-driven organisation. It will also include working in frontline services providing positive behaviour support completing assessments developing support plans working within a multi- disciplinary team.
A Vacancy exists for 1 Full Time Permanent Post for a Basic Grade Psychologist in Adult Services
Applicants must have:
- A university degree or diploma (QQ1 level 8 equivalent) obtained with 1st or 2nd class honours in which Psychology was taken as a major subject and honours obtained in that subject
- and an Irish post-graduate professional psychology qualification accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland in Clinical Psychology
- or an equivalent qualification from another jurisdiction validated by the Department of Health.
- NB:2026 graduates are welcome to apply
- A strong interest in working within disability services
- Full clean manual driving licence and access to a car
