At Rituals we believe in transforming everyday routines into meaningful moments. As we continue to grow in Spain we are looking for a Senior HR Business Partner to strengthen our Retail and Wholesale (WHS) organisation and make an impact in an international environment.
THE PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
As Senior HR Business Partner you are the strategic people partner for our Retail and WHS operations in Spain. You translate HR strategy into pragmatic solutions advise and challenge leaders on complex people topics and ensure a strong employee experience across the full employee lifecycle. The role is based in Barcelona and requires the candidate to reside in Catalonia.
You will also have direct leadership responsibility and will manage 5 Area Managers supporting high performance engagement and strong leadership capability across the region.
Your Accountabilities:
- Partner with Retail & WHS leadership as a strategic HR advisorshaping organisation capability performance engagement and resource optimisation to deliver business goals.
- Translate HR strategy into a clear annual people plan for your scope driving priorities across the full employee lifecycle (talent acquisition onboarding development reward wellbeing retention and performance).
- Lead employee relations and labour-law topics ensuring consistent policy execution and full compliance with local legislation and internal standards.
- Drive organisational development and change initiatives using data and insights to identify risks/opportunities and implement practical sustainable solutions.
- Improve HR ways of working by monitoring benchmarking and optimising processes tools and employee experience across a multi-site environment.
- Lead and contribute to (international) HR projects and capability buildingdelivering trainings workshops and stakeholder communicationsand act as the key bridge between Services and Operations to turn guidelines into business-ready practices.
Travel requirement
- Regular travel within Spain including Balearic Islands Valencia Zaragoza Alicante Granada and Northern Spain. Distances are significant and same-day return trips are often not feasible.
- Overall travel can reach up to 40%.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years of HR advisory/HRBP experience preferably in a retail and/or multi-site environment.
- Strong working knowledge of employee relations and labour law; confident managing complex cases with discretion.
- Proven ability to influence coach and challenge senior stakeholders and translate strategy into execution.
- Strong analytical skills: able to structure information interpret data and create clear recommendations.
- High level of English to operate in an international environment; Spanish fluency required for the local context.
- Proactive creative problem-solving skills strong service mindset and excellent communication/interpersonal abilities.
- Must reside in Catalonia and be comfortable with frequent travel and occasional overnight stays.
