Job Summary
Title:Adjunct instructors for in-person Mathematics (Fall 2026 & Spring 2027)
Bargaining Unit/Salary Level:Salary and Benefits commensurate with the Agreement between the MCCS Trustees and the MSEA Adjunct Faculty Unit.
Responsibilities:Central Maine Community College seeks adjunct faculty to teach a variety of introductory level courses including quantitative reasoning and technical mathematics. The instructor will deliver and use a learning management system. The courses may be day or evening courses depending on availability but will be on-ground at our Auburn campus.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Masters degree in mathematics or a related field (e.g. statistics physics math ed. etc.) or a Masters degree with an additional 18 graduate-level credit hours in mathematics or statistics.
- A strong enthusiasm and passion for student learning with the ability to respond to students needs using a variety of teaching methods.
Preferred Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Experience teaching college-level mathematics or relevant field experience.
- Familiarity with Brightspace or other Learning Management Systems.
