Job Title: Activities Team Coordinator

Reporting to: Head of Students Activities

Location: Griffith College Dublin

Job Type: Full-Time / Fixed-term (maternity cover)


Job Summary:

Griffith College is seeking an enthusiastic and organised Activities Team Coordinator to support the delivery of a dynamic and engaging student activities programme. This role plays a key part in enhancing the student experience by planning promoting and delivering a wide range of social cultural and recreational activities.

The successful candidate will combine strong organisational skills with creativity student engagement and digital content expertise.

Job Responsibilities:

Activities & Event Coordination

  • Plan organise and deliver weekly student activity classes.
  • Design and coordinate day trips and overnight excursions.
  • Attend all trips and excursions to ensure high-quality delivery and student satisfaction.
  • Monitor attendance and engagement across all activities.
  • Manage on-the-day logistics and resolve issues in real time.

Student Engagement

  • Act as a key point of contact for student activity-related queries (online and in person).
  • Build strong relationships with students to encourage participation.
  • Collect and analyse student feedback to continuously improve activities and trips.

  • Manage the Activities Teams social media platforms.
  • Create engaging content (photos videos posts stories) to promote events and student life.
  • Design posters and promotional materials for activities and events.
  • Attend activities and sports matches to capture content for marketing purposes.
  • Ensure consistent branding and messaging aligned with Griffith College standards.

Content Creation & Design

  • Develop promotional materials for activities and campaigns.
  • Design and update the annual Activities Wall Planner.
  • Use tools such as Canva or Adobe Suite to produce high-quality visuals.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Creative mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Experience in social media management and content creation
  • Graphic design skills (Canva Adobe or similar)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible and proactive approach to problem-solving

Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience in event coordination student services or similar role
  • Experience managing social media accounts (essential)
  • Content creation and basic photo/video editing skills (desirable)
  • Qualification in marketing events communications or related field (preferred)

Working Hours

  • Full-time role with flexibility required
  • Evening and weekend work as needed (events and trips)
  • Regular off-site work for excursions and activities
