Job Description

This role is based in Pune India. You will be required to work in the office 2-3 days per week.

About the role:

As an AI Engineer you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design develop and deploy AI solutions with a focus on Generative AI. This role is a great opportunity to build a strong foundation in ML engineering and gain hands-on experience with foundation models (FMs) and related concepts such as RAG fine-tuning and agents.

About the team:

The AI team at SailPoint applies AI and domain expertise to create solutions that solve real problems in identity governance. We believe the path to success is through meaningful customer outcomes and we leverage traditional AI/ML as well as recent innovations in Generative AI and Graph ML to bring our solutions to SailPoints core product lines. You will be working with and learning from senior members of the team.

Roadmap to Success

TimelineKey Objectives

90 Days Gain a solid understanding of the SailPoint AI vision and Generative AI initiatives. Onboard onto our AI Platform tech stack. Assist in developing or evaluating a working prototype of an AI agent using existing models/tools.

6 Months Contribute to a fully functional GenAI-powered feature under the guidance of senior engineers. Help optimize existing AI pipelines to ensure robust training evaluation and deployment. Collaborate with the AI and product teams to understand key use cases for GenAI.

1 Year Become a key contributor to the development of a new FM-based capability. Actively learn and apply advancements in FM fine-tuning prompt engineering and agent-based systems. Assist in establishing frameworks for evaluating GenAI features in production.

Requirements

• 3-5 yearsof experience in building and deploying ML models.

• Familiarity with or strong interest in Generative AI models and techniques such as LLMs fine-tuning RAG and prompt engineering.

• A can-do attitude with a focus on delivering measurable business impact.

• Good technical communicator who can convey complex topics to different audiences.

• B.S. in Computer Science or a related field.
