Summary: (School Year 2026-2027)
The Assistant Kindergarten Bachelors Degree Level will provide academic socio-emotional and/or behavioral support at the direction of the kindergarten teacher. The Assistant Kindergarten Bachelors Degree Level will perform instructional and supervisory responsibilities while working with students one-on-one with a small group of students or with a whole group of students. The Kindergarten Assistant BD Level will report to and is evaluated by the principal and kindergarten teachers.

Responsibilities:
Prepares materials for instruction.

Provides planning time for teachers to include outdoor activities rhythm activities story time etc.

Provides lunchroom assistance.

Supervises school-based routines such as dismissal restroom etc.

Performs any other duties as assigned.

Experience: Experience working with young children preferred.

Language Skills: Reads and comprehends simple instructions short correspondence and memos. Writes simple correspondence. Effectively presents information in one-on-one and small group situations.

Mathematical Skills: Adds and subtracts two digit numbers and multiplies and divides with 10s and 100s. Performs these operations using units of American money and weight measurement volume and distance.

Reasoning Ability: Applies common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions. Deals with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills preferred.

Physical Activities: Standing walking sitting stooping kneeling crouching bending talking and hearing.

Lifting Demands: Up to 55 pounds.

Reaching Activities: Overhead.
