Job Summary
This is a single-threaded zero-to-one charter. Everyday Essentials is one of the fastest-growing segments across Amazons international marketplaces yet advertising monetization has not kept pacerepresenting a significant untapped revenue opportunity. Shoppers and advertisers in these categories have fundamentally different needs and objectives than those in durable goods and todays advertising products were not purpose-built for them. You will work backwards from those unmet needs to invent net-new advertising capabilities from the ground up.
You will own the end-to-end product lifecyclefrom identifying the opportunity writing the PR/FAQ defining the CX partnering with science and engineering to build and scaling learnings across countries. You will directly own the P&L for this charter and be accountable for delivering step-function advertising revenue growth. This role requires someone who thrives in ambiguity can define both the product opportunity and the technology strategy from scratch and has the judgment to make high-stakes investment decisions across a portfolio of bets.

Key job responsibilities
- Own the strategic vision roadmap and P&L for advertising monetization of Everyday Essentials categories across Japan and emerging Latin American marketplaces. Define what success looks like how to measure it and how to get there.
- Invent net-new advertising products and capabilities that address the distinct needs of consumables grocery and replenishment advertisersgoing beyond adaptation of existing products to fundamentally rethink ad formats objectives measurement and targeting for these categories.
- Work backwards from advertiser and shopper needs unique to each marketplace. Deeply understand local market dynamics competitive landscapes advertiser marketing objectives (new-to-brand acquisition pack-size upsell category share growth) and shopping behaviors.
- Partner with science and engineering teams to bring ideas from zero to one. Define the technology strategy make informed build-vs-leverage decisions and guide technical trade-offs across machine learning ad serving and measurement systems.
- Drive rigorous experimentation and analysis across a portfolio of technology investments. Make calculated bets instrument learning and demonstrate the judgment to double down or pivot based on evidence.
- Develop and scale cross-country learnings. Establish frameworks and mechanisms so that what works in one marketplace can be efficiently evaluated and adapted for others.
- Communicate with clarity at all levels. Author decision narratives investment proposals and strategic communications for executive audiences. Bring clarity to complex ambiguous problems and ensure all stakeholders understand trade-offs and options.
- Collaborate broadly with sales legal category international retail operations and executive teams to ensure seamless go-to-market execution and alignment.
- Create durable mechanisms for auditing and reporting business ROI product performance advertiser satisfaction and customer experience quality.
- Amplify impact beyond your charter by mentoring PM/PMTs contributing to the broader product management community and raising the bar for how Amazon Ads approaches international and category-specific product development.
- 2 years of end to end product delivery experience
- 8 years of technical product or program management experience
- Bachelors degree
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience technical product management
- Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
- Experience in project management methodologies business analysis or process improvement

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
