Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Intermediate Care (IMCU) Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced step-down unit. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical experience managing high-acuity patients and be comfortable working with advanced monitoring and life-support equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care in an intermediate care/step-down setting
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and neurological status
Manage patients requiring respiratory support including BiPAP and chronic ventilators
Assist with specialized equipment such as chest tubes arterial lines and temporary pacemakers
Collaborate with respiratory therapy and interdisciplinary teams
Administer medications and IV therapies
Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems
Float to other units as needed

Requirements:

Active New York RN License required
Minimum 2 years of IMCU/PCU experience required
Travel experience required
Certifications required:
- AHA BLS
- AHA ACLS
- NIHSS
EPIC EMR experience required
Strong clinical skills in high-acuity patient care
