As part of our pre-opening leadership team we invite an exceptional sales professional to join us as Event Manager driving the success of the hotels weddings social and corporate event business.

As the Event Manager you will lead the hotels event sales strategy from cultivating client relationships to orchestrating revenue growth across weddings social events and corporate functions. You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders to position Waldorf Astoria Kuala Lumpur as the destination of choice for iconic gatherings in Southeast Asia.
This is a pivotal role for a driven and inspiring sales leader who combines strategic vision creativity and commercial acumen to deliver excellence at every touchpoint.
What will I be doing
As Event Manager you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Event Conversion & Execution Support
Partner with Banquet and Operations teams to ensure seamless event conversion planning and flawless execution reflecting Waldorf Astorias hallmark of sophistication.
Client & Vendor Relationships
Build and nurture strong client partnerships through regular engagement closing deals maintain conversations. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to guarantee timely delivery of services and exceptional event experiences.
Team Collaboration
Contribute to the Event teams success by achieving performance goals across Weddings Social and Corporate Events. Foster a culture of collaboration creativity and high achievement aligned with Waldorf Astorias luxury standards.
Administration & Compliance
Maintain accurate records contracts and documentation in line with Hilton systems and policies ensuring compliance and operational efficiency
What are we looking for
An Events Manager serving Hilton Brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role you should maintain the attitudebehaviours skills and values that follow:
Bachelors degree in Hospitality Business or a related field
Proven experience in event sales within a 5-star luxury hotel or high-end event venue
Strong background in social and corporate event sales with a demonstrated record of achieving
revenue goals
Excellent client relationship management and negotiation skills
Strategic thinker with strong analytical and commercial capabilities
Exceptional communication and presentation skills both written and verbal
Ability to inspire a team in a dynamic pre-opening environment
Proficiency in Delphi or other sales management systems
Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is considered an asset
