Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Risk Assessment: Perform Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend preventative measures.
- Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents near-misses and occupational illnesses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Training and Education: Conduct safety induction training for new employees and toolbox talks for staff to maintain awareness.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed safety records incident reports and safety training files.
- Inspections and Monitoring: Regularly inspect premises and equipment to identify hazards faulty machinery or unsafe behaviors.
- Compliance and Policies: Ensure adherence to local state and federal safety regulations (e.g. OSHA) by creating updating and enforcing company safety protocols .
