Role: CFD / Thermal 3D Management CAE Specialist
Location: Charlotte NC - (Onsite)
Duration: Full-Time - Permanent

Job Description

Develop and implement thermal management strategies for high-power components such as batteries inverters electric motors and power electronics
Perform thermal simulations using tools like ANSYS GT-SUITE and STAR-CCM
Evaluate cooling and heating system performance under conditions like high-speed driving rapid acceleration and charging
Collaborate with powertrain electrical and controls teams to integrate thermal solutions into vehicle design
Analyse heat transfer and cooling requirements for components such as radiators heat exchangers and HVAC systems
Optimize battery thermal systems to improve performance extend battery life and enhance vehicle range
Validate simulation models using real-world testing under various environmental and load conditions
Document results and provide recommendations to improve cooling efficiency and component reliability
Research and implement advanced cooling technologies such as phase change materials liquid cooling and insulation
Correlate virtual simulation results with physical testing and sign off on performance
