Job Summary
Job Title: AWS DevOps Engineer (Terraform Release & Configuration Management)
Location: Atlanta GA- (Hybrid - Candidates Must be Permanent Residents)
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification
- Design implement and maintain AWS cloud configuration management processes policies and standards
- Build deploy and enhance Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform for provisioning and lifecycle management of AWS resources (EC2 S3 RDS IAM ACM)
- Manage and optimize multiple environments (Dev Test Stage Prod) ensuring consistency availability and security
- Lead and support release engineering activities using AWS Code Suite (CodeCommit CodeBuild CodeDeploy CodePipeline)
- Collaborate with DevOps Security and Infrastructure teams to support deployments rollbacks and environment readiness
- Design and maintain automated AWS backup solutions ensuring data integrity resiliency and compliance with retention policies
- Implement automated patching workflows to maintain security and compliance posture across cloud infrastructure
- Conduct periodic audits on configurations patch levels backups and certificate compliance; recommend and implement improvements
- Manage SSL/TLS certificate lifecycle including installation renewal rotation and validation across AWS services
- Ensure secure communication configurations aligned with state and federal security standards
- Maintain detailed documentation of configuration baselines IaC standards modules and environment changes
- Provide training and guidance on Terraform AWS best practices backup strategies patch automation and certificate management
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to support stable reliable and scalable statewide services
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or equivalent experience
- Configuration management and cloud infrastructure experience
- Senior-level experience with AWS Code Suite (CodeCommit CodeBuild CodeDeploy CodePipeline)
- Experience designing AWS backup patching and compliance solutions
- Experience managing SSL/TLS certificates across cloud environments
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Strong experience with AWS services including EC2 S3 RDS IAM and ACM
- Experience maintaining documentation for IaC standards configurations and environments
- Experience providing technical training and guidance to teams
- Scripting experience using Python Bash or PowerShell for automation
- AWS Certifications and/or Terraform Certification
- Experience working in state or local government environments
- Experience with vendor management or oversight
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools
- Experience with Organizational Change Management (OCM)
- Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to break down complex problems and deliver scalable solutions
- High attention to detail with strong diagnostic capabilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong organizational and planning abilities
- Self-motivated and able to thrive in fast-paced environments
