Junior Buyer
Job Summary
We are looking for a Junior Buyer to join our team in Kraków. In this role you will support end-to-end procurement activities while building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
This position is part of a global supply chain organization reporting directly to the Logistics and Procurement Manager Europe and offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic fast-paced and collaborative international environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with 1 to 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain who are proactive detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities in parallel.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute procurement activities in line with project and business requirements
- Issue purchase orders on a daily basis and ensure accuracy of all transactional data
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely order confirmation production and delivery
- Source evaluate and qualify new suppliers in alignment with company standards
- Negotiate commercial terms including pricing lead times and payment conditions
- Monitor purchase orders and proactively manage any risks or delays
- Ensure on-time delivery of materials and resolve supply or quality issues as they arise
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (Project Managers Engineering Logistics Finance)
- Analyze costs and identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement documentation and records
- Support supplier performance evaluation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Act as a backup for Logistics activities (shipping/receiving coordination) when required
Qualifications :
- Knowledge in Supply Chain Business Administration or a related field
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in procurement purchasing or supply chain
- Good command of English (minimum B2 level) in a professional environment
- Experience working in an international and cross-functional environment
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g. D365 SAP or similar)
- Strong proficiency in MS Office particularly Excel
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and support decision-making
- Solid negotiation skills and commercial awareness
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to support global procurement activities across Averna regions
