Department/Unit Summary
Join our team in an 8-bed Pediatrics Unit featuring a combined unit with Pediatrics and PICU located on the 1st floor. We serve a diverse variety of diagnosis such as respiratory abdominal pain and dehydration. We promote Family Centered Care and we have a specialty care transport team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment dedicated to promoting the well-being of children from 0-18 years old.
How youll contribute
Delivers comprehensive patient care by implementing treatment plans administering medications assisting with daily living activities and monitoring patient conditions. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care including transfers discharges and support services. Educates patients and families based on individual needs advocates for patient rights and well-being and addresses concerns promptly to ensure high-quality service. Demonstrates leadership in supervising coaching and evaluating staff assigning tasks and maintaining effective communication across departments. Maintains accurate documentation upholds ethical standards and adapts to changing workloads while supporting new team members and utilizing current technology in care delivery.

Qualifications and requirements
Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associates degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:
BLS certification is required within 30 days of hire.
ACLS PALS and NRP are required within six months of hire.
Peds/PICU experience required.
Experience in an acute care facility preferred.
