Location:Utica NY
Shift: Night Shift 12 Hours (6:30 PM 7:00 AM)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Hours: 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed
Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a high-acuity Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The ideal candidate will have strong critical care experience across multiple ICU specialties and be proficient in advanced life support technologies and interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity ICU environment
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and continuous monitoring
- Manage critically ill patients with complex medical and surgical conditions
- Administer medications IV therapies and titrated drips
- Operate and monitor advanced life support equipment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient outcomes
- Document care using electronic medical records
- Float to other appropriate units as required
Required Qualifications:
- Active New York RN License (must be in hand)
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience (ICU SICU CTICU Neuro ICU Trauma ICU or MS ICU)
- Travel experience required
- Experience with EPIC EMR system
- Hands-on experience with CRRT (Prismaflex or NxStage)
Required Certifications:
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- NIHSS Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Charge Nurse experience
- Strong cardiac/heart experience (highly preferred)
- Experience in high-volume multi-specialty ICUs
