Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Location:Utica NY
Shift: Night Shift 12 Hours (6:30 PM 7:00 AM)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Hours: 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a high-acuity Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The ideal candidate will have strong critical care experience across multiple ICU specialties and be proficient in advanced life support technologies and interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity ICU environment
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and continuous monitoring
  • Manage critically ill patients with complex medical and surgical conditions
  • Administer medications IV therapies and titrated drips
  • Operate and monitor advanced life support equipment
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient outcomes
  • Document care using electronic medical records
  • Float to other appropriate units as required

Required Qualifications:

  • Active New York RN License (must be in hand)
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience (ICU SICU CTICU Neuro ICU Trauma ICU or MS ICU)
  • Travel experience required
  • Experience with EPIC EMR system
  • Hands-on experience with CRRT (Prismaflex or NxStage)

Required Certifications:

  • BLS (AHA)
  • ACLS (AHA)
  • NIHSS Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Charge Nurse experience
  • Strong cardiac/heart experience (highly preferred)
  • Experience in high-volume multi-specialty ICUs
