Electronics Supervisor
Job Summary
ROLE STATEMENT:
The Supervisor Electronics will be a member of the Maintenance Department responsible for ensuring the repair and maintenance of all Calfrac electronics equipment is completed on schedule and meets company standards. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager andSenior Maintenance Supervisor the Electronics Supervisorwill focus on performing their assigned tasks and duties under limited supervision and will be responsible for the supervision of
the Electronics Technicians and ensure work is performed without undue risk.
SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Work safely in accordance with all company safety policies procedures and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements
- Coach and develop electronics technicians to ensure quality standards are in accordance with safety procedures as well as constructively directing them to optimize their performance
- Act as a safety leader and promote Calfrac Well Services Ltd. safety culture
- Lead and supervise the on-site electronics technicians and participate in the diagnosis of problems and repairs in areas such as maintenance inspections equipment repairs and outsourced repairs
- Provide direction and support to Field Personnel Mechanics and Electronics Technicians and foster a highly effective working relationship with all employees
- Issue and complete work orders and review for completeness and accuracy
- Gather information and schedule repairs on all CWS equipment and ensure all repairs are documented properly
- Work with upper management to resolve equipment issues
- Continue role of Electronics Technician when needed
- District Radiation Safety Officer maintain radiation files perform monthly inspection of gauges and repair and maintain gauges as needed
KEY ATTRIBUTES AND COMPETENCIES:
- 10 years of progressive and related experience
- Industry related supervisory experience is an asset
- Strong knowledge of electronic control systems QA-QC and troubleshooting
- Strong leadership mentoring and delegation skills
- Must be self-motivated and have excellent computer skills
- Excellent interpersonal relationship-building and verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to interact effectively and work comfortably with field branch head office staff and senior management Able to handle multiple projects and priorities with a high attention to detail Must have a strong emphasis on safety policies and procedures Knowledge of Calfrac systems and products This position is considered to be a Safety Sensitive Position and may require additional screening This position has bona fide physical requirements and may require additional screening (please refer to the applicable Physical Demands Profile)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Accredited technical diploma in the Electronics or Instrumentation field or completion of Journeyman Instrumentation Certification
- Supervisory experience is an asset
- Thorough understanding of the operation of coil tubing and fracturing equip
