Job Summary
In accordance with the Vision Purpose and Values and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority patient safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone at VIHA; as such the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.
Reporting to the Lead Physiotherapist the staff Physiotherapist assesses treats educates and evaluates a care plan for individual patients. The physiotherapist also educates other health disciplines and the public in the various aspects of physiotherapy patient care.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Training And Experience
Graduation from a recognized university program in Physiotherapy. Current licensure in a practicing category with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC as a Physiotherapist. Eligible for membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA).
Skills And Abilities
- The ability to communicate effectively and in a positive courteous manner;
- show sound professional judgement and initiative as an active member of the health care team;
- show a willingness to learn and apply new concepts in the academic and clinical fields of health care knowledge;
- the ability to work harmoniously with patients and staff.
