Vanguards AU Securities Lending Operations team is a key player in supporting securities lending activity across APAC markets for our global investment portfolios.

Core Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership and Initiative Ownership

• Manages the implementation of multiple strategic globalobjectivesforsecurities lending operations.

• Collaborates effectively with internal and external partners anddemonstratesdeep technicalindustryand market knowledge toidentifyand resolve complex operational issues.

• Supports and leads within region on risk and control reviews and enhancements.

• Participates in projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Data and Analytics:

• Leverages dataanalyticsand tools toidentifyopportunities to improveprocesses.

• Analyses and translates complex data into actionable insights for operational improvements.

Risk Mitigation:

• Proactivelyidentifiesand mitigates events and regulatory changes thatimpactSecurities Lending Operations.

• Partners with Risk and Control functions to develop reportingand indicatorsthat enabletheteam to proactively manage risks.

• Demonstrates understanding of various control standards to ensure compliance.

• Leads internal control framework improvements and formulates strategic recommendations.

Crew Development:

• Develop Others through coaching and mentorship

• Influence team culture by promoting inclusioncollaborationand continuous learning

What are we looking for in the ideal candidate

• Over 5years related work experience in a middle office or operations role in asset management.

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Accounting or Finance degree preferred.

• Strong analytical skills with experience in process mapping data analysis and experience in supporting risk and control enhancements.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas to senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams

• CFA or other financial designation preferred
