About the Role

The Associate Recruiting and Legal Talent Senior Coordinator is an integral part of Lathams Associate Recruiting team. This role will be responsible for providing advanced coordination and strategic support across Associate Recruiting and Legal Talent functions as well as coordinating all phases of recruiting efforts including executing the summer program campus outreach and entry-level hiring managing candidate interviews correspondence GPA calculations and onboarding communications. This role will be located in our Boston office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with target law schools career services student organizations vendors and recruitment professionals and serving as the firms liaison and representing the firm at recruiting and external functions outside of normal business hours
  • Ensuring compliance with federal and state legislation and best practices and developing and monitoring budgets and expenses for outreach and recruiting efforts
  • Collaborating with team members and committees to identify and implement new marketing and promotional strategies and providing administrative support to the Recruiting Committee by preparing recruitment statistics reports and presentations
  • Driving initiatives within their office committee or department/practice group remit to enhance morale and retention utilizing critical thinking to develop and implement innovative programs and providing strategic advice on professional development staffing and performance-related issues
  • Analyzing utilization and pace coordinating work assignments offering strategic insights and recommendations to optimize talent management and demonstrating judgment in selecting methods and techniques for solutions
  • Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive confidential privileged financial and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

Wed love to hear from you if you:

  • Exhibit well-developed interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal to interact effectively at all organizational levels and lead teams with a customer-service focus
  • Possess advanced organizational and analytical skills to manage time prioritize tasks handle multiple deadlines and supervise others to ensure compliance and accuracy while using independent judgment for decision-making
  • Demonstrate proficiency in MS Office applicant tracking systems interview platforms and other necessary software with the ability to undertake large projects develop alternative methods and implement solutions

And have:

  • A bachelors degree or equivalent
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in legal recruitment or professional development
