Duties and responsibilities:
PeopleSoft Administration Manage the full lifecycle of Production Test and Development environments ensuring system stability and reliability.
Infrastructure and Performance Optimise Oracle Application Servers Web Servers (PIA) Process Schedulers and the underlying operating system; monitor system availability resource utilisation and security.
Security and Access Control Design implement and enforce roles permission lists and row-level security; conduct regular audits and support compliance requirements.
Integration and Middleware Develop maintain and troubleshoot Integration Broker REST/SOAP services file-based integrations and third-party interfaces; resolve messaging queue and node issues.
Development Develop and maintain technical components using PeopleCode Application Engine SQR BI Publisher and related tools.
Production Support Manage incident triage perform root-cause analysis and compile post-incident (post-mortem) reports.
Documentation and Governance Maintain up-to-date SOPs runbooks and change management documentation; support internal audits and adherence to IT governance standards.
Inherent requirements:
Bachelors degree in information technology or related field on NQF Level 7.
Minimum of three (3)years of proven PeopleSoft administration and development experience.
Relevant Oracle/PeopleSoft certification (attach proof).
Demonstrated experience supporting at least two PeopleSoft modules (HCM Financials or Campus Solutions).
Strong technical knowledge of PeopleTools Integration Broker and Application Designer.
Relevant experience in a higher education or large enterprise environment.
Recommendations:
Experience with DevOps practices CI/CD pipelines infrastructureascode.
Familiarity with Office 365 integration or other SaaS products.
