Senior Full Stack Developer Vehicle E/E Integration & Test Networks (Contract)

Our client is seeking an advanced senior-tier full-stack software engineer to join a global vehicle validation and production network.

The team is responsible for delivering innovative mission-critical backend architectures that support electrical/electronic (E/E) commissioning driving dynamics powertrain validation and error-prevention testing across the entire vehicle product lifecycle.

Operating as a completely independent functional expert you will design scalable microservices manage secure cloud runtimes and optimize relational data models to isolate and resolve complex conceptual and systemic weaknesses before vehicles hit production lines.

Qualifications / Experience

• Relevant 3-year IT or BSc Computer Science degree.
• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience building and maintaining mission-critical Java systems inside corporate or medium-sized businesses.
• Minimum of 3 years of production experience building updating and fixing RESTful web services.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting mission-critical systems in the cloud.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience building and running microservices architectures.
• Proven track record of successful projects delivered inside senior or technical leadership roles.

Essential Skills Requirements

• Extensive deep development experience utilizing Java 8/11 or higher.
• Strong track record building securing and maintaining mission-critical high-availability backend systems.
• Hands-on production experience designing building updating and troubleshooting robust RESTful web services.
• Proven experience developing and operating cloud-native enterprise solutions.
• Core cloud architecture experience: Azure App Service (or closely related cloud products such as AWS ECS / Google App Engine).
• Strong familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using Terraform or equivalent tools.
• Comprehensive containerization skills spanning from local compilation and multi-stage builds to live deployment.
• Deep practical knowledge building running and orchestrating microservices architectures.
• Solid proficiency and compliance with Jakarta/JEE Standards.
• Hands-on development experience leveraging Quarkus or the Spring Framework ecosystem.
• Proven production experience working with high-volume relational databases specifically Oracle and PostgreSQL.

Advantageous Skills Requirements

• Apache Kafka experience-specifically publishing and consuming large volumes of asynchronous messages across a distributed system architecture.
• Deep experience navigating modern Agile toolchains (Atlassian Suite including Jira and Confluence).
• Extensive usage of enterprise version control systems and distributed tools (Git and GitHub Enterprise).
• Proven CI/CD pipeline engineering: provisioning configuring maintaining and securing automation workflows via GitHub Actions.
• Practical 2nd-line IT platform operations system triage and hypercare support experience.
• Familiarity with modern observability stacks application performance monitoring and runtime logging tools (Payara Grafana Prometheus Dynatrace).
• Demonstrated experience utilizing Generative AI capabilities (e.g. ChatGPT GitHub Copilot) to optimize individual coding output and acceleration.
• Strong critical thinking personal time management and an ability to question specifications to propose superior technical designs.
• Professional German speaking and technical document translation capabilities.
• Functional domain knowledge of automotive engineering manufacturing networks or embedded vehicle systems.

Role & Responsibilities

• Analyze complex business requirements and specifications to model design and develop scalable backend software architectures.
• Select and implement optimal programming languages frameworks and database engines to satisfy strict non-functional constraints (load traffic and security).
• Author exceptionally clean efficient secure and well-documented source code to drive core system logic.
• Engineer document and expose secure APIs and microservices to facilitate seamless communication patterns across frontend and backend tiers.
• Design data storage schemas partition keys indexes and optimized SQL queries to manage high-throughput transactional storage engines.
• Architect reliable data backup failure recovery and business continuity strategies to ensure the highest tiers of database availability.
• Partner closely with QA automation engineers to establish deploy and maintain robust automated testing frameworks and quality gates.
• Build maintain and secure automated CI/CD deployment pipelines to streamline application delivery into staging and production clusters.
• Provide Tier-3 technical support systematically resolving code defects performance bottlenecks and infrastructure vulnerabilities.
• Foster a continuous learning environment by testing emerging technologies documenting best practices and mentoring fellow developers.
• Execute daily system handovers system status checks and start-up routines to maximize platform readiness.
• Assist functional departments and Business Analysts in mapping real-world operational workflows into comprehensive technical specifications.
• Prepare and update rigorous system runbooks technical document sets and operational manuals to align with strict group governance and internal work instructions.
• Participate actively in a rotating standby schedule with international partners to safeguard global application uptime.
