Job Summary

Job Title: Systems Analyst (Medicaid Management Information System) - Hybrid

Duration (Contract): 14 Months

Client Location: Richmond VA 23219

Location Preference: Hybrid

Job Description:

As a Systems Analyst you will provide advanced technical and analytical support for a large-scale healthcare claims processing environment focusing on data conversion testing and quality assurance across all functional areas of a Medicaid Management Information System or similar platform. You will work closely with business and technical teams to ensure accurate data migration rigorous testing regulatory compliance and stable system operations throughout implementation and enhancement cycles.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end data conversion activities including mapping transformation logic reconciliation and mock conversion cycles.
Perform complex data analysis to validate member claims and financial data accuracy and completeness.
Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies covering system integration end-to-end and user acceptance testing.
Create and manage business test scenarios test cases test data and support test execution activities.
Conduct defect triage coordinate resolution with multiple vendors and track defects to closure.
Analyze large datasets to identify discrepancies trends and anomalies during conversion and testing phases.
Develop and execute SQL and Teradata queries for validation reconciliation and reporting.
Document conversion rules validation results and testing artifacts to support audit and compliance needs.
Collaborate with architects ETL developers business users and cross functional teams with minimal supervision.
Communicate testing progress metrics and risks clearly to stakeholders.

Required Skills Experiences Education and Competencies:

Strong experience with healthcare claims processing systems such as MMIS or similar large scale platforms.
Extensive background in data conversion mapping validation ETL logic and data governance.
Proven experience planning and executing Agile testing within iterative sprint cycles.
Proficiency in Teradata and SQL for complex data analysis and reconciliation.
Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Azure DevOps or equivalent.
Knowledge of system integration user acceptance and regression testing methodologies.
Preferred experience with mainframe or DB2 testing environments.
Excellent analytical organizational and problem solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer focused mindset.

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $45.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills experience location and industry.
