Job Summary
Job Title: Network Engineer
Duration (Contract): 2 14 Months

Job Description:
As a Network Engineer you will provide hands on technical support for planning maintaining and integrating edge network infrastructure across assigned organizational units. You will be part of an edge networking team responsible for ensuring reliable secure and efficient local and wide area network services contributing to technology refresh initiatives and supporting day to day network operations while collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install configure maintain and support network infrastructure including switches routers SD WAN edge devices wireless and cellular based networking equipment.
- Monitor test troubleshoot and resolve network issues using industry standard network management tools.
- Utilize command line interfaces to configure and troubleshoot network devices.
- Support planned network deployments upgrades and change management activities.
- Resolve and document network incidents and requests using an enterprise ticketing system.
- Assist with evaluation and rollout of new and emerging networking technologies.
- Analyze current and future network needs and recommend technical solutions.
- Participate in network design activities and propose optimizations for efficiency and reliability.
- Ensure network implementations meet defined security standards and requirements.
- Maintain accurate network documentation and diagrams for existing and new infrastructure.
Required Skills Experiences Education and Competencies:
- Hands on experience with network routing switching and SD WAN technologies.
- Strong working knowledge of enterprise networking concepts and device configuration.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex network connectivity and performance issues.
- Experience supporting both local and wide area network environments.
- Familiarity with network monitoring automation and documentation tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer focused approach.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced environment.
- Willingness and ability to support physical networking tasks including equipment installation.
- CCNA certification preferred or equivalent practical networking experience.
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills experience location and industry.
