VoIP / SIP Network Support Engineer
Location: Primarily onsite Monday Friday in Jersey City NJ (preferred) with alternate client locations in Plano TX or Columbus; secondary locations include Charlotte N
- Provide real-time support for production VoIP/SIP voice services performing rapid incident triage to maintain high availability and call quality
- Troubleshoot complex SIP signaling call flows RTP/media issues (jitter packet loss latency MOS) and SDP/codec negotiations
- Analyze call traces packet captures and logs to identify root causes and recurring failure patterns
- Monitor alerts and lead incident response escalation and resolution across internal teams carriers and vendors
- Support SIP trunking and client platforms (Cisco Ribbon/Sonus Oracle/Acme Packet AudioCodes) including secure voice (TLS/mTLS SRTP)
- Deliver clear concise communication during high-severity incidents and contribute to post-incident reviews and operational improvements
