Job Summary
Role: IT Solution Analyst III
Location:Onsite Minneapolis Denver Amarillo or Lubbock TX
Role Overview & Scope of Work
This role supports Xcel Energys Software Asset Management (SAM) organization and is focused on managing software licensing activities within ServiceNow including ServiceNow SAM Pro. The IT Solution Analyst III will support software purchases licensing approvals contract and EULA review license tracking ticketing workflows and internal processes related to asset lifecycle ROI and end-of-life support.
Key Responsibilities
Work extensively within ServiceNow and ServiceNow SAM Pro.
Support software purchase requests and licensing approvals.
Manage software license portals and repositories.
Review and interpret End User License Agreements (EULA).
Support internal and external software audits.
Collaborate with sourcing procurement and SAM FTE teams.
Assist with ROI analysis end-of-life planning and vendor transitions.
Maintain accurate software and licensing documentation.
Typical Day
The role is day-to-day ServiceNow focused supporting ticket queues licensing requests approvals documentation and collaboration with the Software Asset Management team. Work is primarily internal-facing and involves close coordination with sourcing procurement and SAM stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience
6 9 years of relevant experience (approximately 7 years preferred).
ServiceNow experience ideally with SAM Pro.
Experience supporting software licensing and asset management.
Ability to interpret and document EULA agreements.
Experience working in ticket-based operational environments.
Strong ability to follow structured processes and workflows.
Ability to manage multiple priorities without sacrificing quality.
Nice-to-have experience includes exposure to internal or external audits and SAM Pro certification though neither is required.
