Job Summary
Job Title: SRE engineer
Location: Austin TX - Hybrid- Local candidates Only
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification
- Experience in systems engineering DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering roles
- Independently perform complex technical tasks with a high degree of creativity ownership and decision-making
- Analyze business objectives identify technical solutions and perform cost/benefit analysis for system improvements
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand operational workflows system requirements and data processing needs
- Analyze current systems identify gaps and design automation or enhancements to improve performance and scalability
- Develop detailed documentation including user requirements system functions workflows and technical specifications
- Evaluate system capabilities constraints and feasibility of enhancements within existing infrastructure
- Ensure reliability availability scalability and performance of production systems using SRE best practices
- Partner with development teams to build resilient automated and observable platforms aligned with SLOs
- Strong experience with Linux/Unix systems including system internals and troubleshooting
- Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Python Go Java and Bash
- Design build and operate highly available distributed systems at scale
- Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP and cloud-native architectures
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
- Implement monitoring alerting and logging strategies for production environments
- Define measure and manage SLIs SLOs and error budgets
- Lead incident management processes perform root cause analysis (RCA) and drive postmortems
- Integrate security and compliance practices into operational and deployment workflows
- Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus Grafana Application Insights Datadog or Splunk
- Support 24x7 production environments including on-call rotations
- Conduct chaos engineering and resiliency testing to improve system robustness
- Implement advanced deployment strategies including feature flags canary releases and progressive delivery
- Create and maintain detailed documentation including runbooks dashboards and operational standards
