Position Overview

Seeking a skilled Microsoft 365 Engineer to support technical delivery for a global M365 consolidation initiative. Working closely with the Project Manager and under the technical direction of the U.S.-based Client team the Engineer will be responsible for implementing configuring and supporting the migration of regional users into a unified Microsoft 365 tenant. This role requires strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft 365 along with excellent communication and coordination skills across distributed teams.

The project focuses on consolidating multiple regional collaboration platforms-including Google Workspace (GWS) and existing Microsoft 365 tenants-into a single centralized M365 tenant hosted in the United States. The migration spans multiple regions and impacts over 40000 user accounts globally.

Responsibilities

As the M365 Engineer you will be responsible for:

• Executing technical tasks as directed by the global Client project team including M365 configuration tenant setup and migration tooling
• Supporting the assessment and documentation of the current U.S. IT environment (Phase 0)
• Participating in requirements definition and technical design reviews providing input on U.S.-specific constraints and configurations (Phase 1)
• Executing data migration activities for approximately 2000 user accounts in the U.S. region (Phase 2)
• Performing user mailbox calendar contacts and file migrations using appropriate Microsoft 365 migration tools
• Troubleshooting migration issues and resolving technical escalations at the regional level
• Communicating with U.S.-based IT administrators and end users to provide technical support and guidance during migration
• Participating in project meetings in English with both global and regional stakeholders
• Maintaining accurate technical documentation and migration logs
• Coordinating on-site technical support visits to U.S. customer offices as required (approximately monthly)

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience implementing or administering Microsoft 365 environments(Exchange Online Teams SharePoint Online OneDrive)
• Demonstrated experience with M365 tenant migrations or configuration projects
• Proficiency in M365 administration tools including the Microsoft 365 Admin Center PowerShell and Entra ID (Azure AD)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in M365 and identity management
• Ability to follow globally defined technical specifications and implement them accurately at the regional level
• Comfortable working remotely with a globally distributed team across multiple time zones

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience migrating from Google Workspace (Gmail Google Drive Google Meet) to Microsoft 365 - highly desirable for Italy region context
• Familiarity with migration tools such as Microsoft FastTrack BitTitan MigrationWiz or Cloudiway
• Microsoft certifications such as MS-900 MS-102 or MD-102
• Experience with hybrid identity environments (Entra ID Connect / AD sync)
• Familiarity with M365 compliance and data governance features (Purview DLP Sensitivity Labels)
• Experience in large-scale enterprise migrations (5000 users)
