The Sr Migration Engineer role has end to end accountabilities for all phases of the M&A Process including discovery remediation and performing the actual migration(s). The Sr Migration Engineer is required to maintain the integrity of the Global Technology Services and International Brokerage IT architecture by ensuring all proposed Business/IT Change Projects comply with the overall architectural blueprint. The role will work in our corporate division in direct collaboration with our divisional partners to promote a global perspective of the firm through information sharing and collaboration. You will support the implementation of IT solutions that reflect business requirements and are aligned to the International Brokerage Business and Global Technology Services Strategy to enable business capability and reduce/manage the overall technical design debt. The candidate will be expected to work effectively with key business stakeholders and the IT team providing advice communicating key decisions and ensuring IT solutions adhere to appropriate architecture standards.
This candidate must have demonstrable experience in tenant-to-tenant migrations G-Suite to 365 migrations and must have hands on experience performing all phases of a migration including discovery cleanup testing and completing the actual migration as well as post migration support. This user MUST have high level experience using Quest-on-Demand and would be beneficial if they also had experience using BitTitan for non-stand migration paths such as G-Suite. Sharegate is also a good to have. This role will be 100% hands on keyboard.
This user should have a good understand of enterprise messaging and collaboration as it pertains to the M&A processes.
Working with various stakeholders including business leaders architects IT teams vendors and customers to understand their needs and issues and create solutions that meet their expectations.
Applying strong governance to ensure that the delivered solution is compliant Gallaghers defined operating procedures and principals.
Reduce Global Technology Services and International Brokerage technical design debt.
Resolve and when appropriate escalate Key Design Decisions to ensure the development of cost effective operable and robust systems.
Working closely with Infrastructure engineering teams and Information Management teams to ensure systems changes are clearly understood and aligned across IT applications
Ensuring that Applications are documented with High- and low-level designs build documentation Application handover and DR documentation.
Providing technical advice and support to Business IT and 3rd Party partners in matters related to Application Integration to ensure that developments meet required standards
